Add the extension, or just try it
Install Bookmend from the Chrome Web Store and sign up, or start without an account and get a temporary library to test with.
Bookmend works in Chrome (including Chromebooks), Brave, Edge, Arc and Opera. The extension and the web app at bookmend.app sign in to the same account, so your library is the same everywhere. If you start with the no-account trial, signing up keeps everything you saved.
Save pages, or import the bookmarks you already have
Save the page you're on from the extension or the web app. To bring your old bookmarks along, import a bookmarks.html file from Chrome or any other browser.
Imports handle up to 20,000 bookmarks at a time, and Bookmend's own export format imports too. Title, description, image and site are filled in automatically for every save. You can export your whole library any time.
AI reads each page, then tags, summarizes and suggests a collection
Bookmend keeps the readable text of every page you save. The AI bookmark organizer uses it to write a 2–4 sentence summary and suggest tags, a note and a collection.
Tag suggestions reuse the tags you already have instead of inventing near-duplicates, and skip generic ones. Collection suggestions point to your existing collections. AI never creates a collection by itself; you decide what to accept.
Ask your library in plain language
Chat with your bookmarks. Ask a question and get an answer written from the pages you saved, with numbered citations that link back to each bookmark.
Search works by meaning across page text, titles, tags, summaries and notes, so you don't need the exact words. Details you half-remember work as filters: "last spring", "on github", "tagged recipes". Follow-up questions work too. Library questions like "how many from youtube" or "what's in my Dev collection" are answered straight from your data.
Link health keeps the library working
Saved links are checked in the background, at most once a day per bookmark. Dead ones are flagged, and Bookmend offers a Wayback Machine copy as the replacement.
For a dead link, Bookmend finds the Internet Archive snapshot closest to when the page last worked. Because Bookmend also kept the page's text when you saved it, what the page said is still in your library even if the site changes.
