Bookmend is an AI-native bookmark manager. You save pages from the Chrome extension or the web app, and AI reads each one: it suggests tags, a note and a collection, and writes a short summary. When you need something later, you ask your library in plain language and get an answer built from the pages you saved, with links to each source.

Ask your library is an AI chat that answers from your own saved pages. Ask "what was that article about sleep I saved last spring?" and it searches your bookmarks by meaning, not just keywords, then answers with numbered citations you can click. It also answers questions about the library itself, like "my last 5 bookmarks", "how many do I have from YouTube" or "what's in my Recipes collection".

When you save or edit a bookmark, Bookmend suggests tags (reusing the tags you already have instead of inventing near-duplicates), a short note, and which of your collections it fits. You accept, edit or ignore each suggestion. AI never creates a collection or moves anything on its own.

Yes. Export your bookmarks from Chrome (or any browser) as a bookmarks.html file and import it into Bookmend, up to 20,000 at a time. Your folders come in with them. You can export your whole library again at any time.

Bookmend checks your saved links in the background. When one stops working, it's flagged, and Bookmend finds the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine copy closest to when the page last worked, so you can open or keep the archived version.

Your library is stored in your Bookmend account so it's the same in the extension and the web app. To tag, summarize and answer questions, the text of your saved pages is processed by AI models. We don't sell data or show ads. See the privacy policy for the details.

The bookmark manager is free. All AI features, including Ask your library, AI tags and summaries, and link health with Wayback recovery, are free during early access. No card needed.
